Our Little Ladybug's Room!

Rayna's room got an overhaul. Her room has never really had "theme". Which is odd because even before Rayce was born we always knew what his theme would be, but for some reason we never really had the same for Rayna. So, up until now her room has been theme-less. While planning her 2ND birthday, I feel so in love with ladybugs that I decided to make that her room theme as well. While I was browsing the Internet one day I ran across a Hgtv room and that is where I got the idea for Rayna's room. I really love the way it turned out. I think it suits her personality well. Take a look for yourself. :)

Her wall letter I painted and hung.

Isn't she lovely!?

Matching pillow pet her Aunt Melissa got her.

I even painted her ceiling fan to match. Move over Martha Stewart! ;)

Incase you were wondering this is what it looked like before.

Happy 4th of July!

This was our 2Nd annual 4Th of July at the Rio Rancho Sports Complex. It's always a good time with my sister and her family. This year we decided to BBQ on site instead of having a separate BBQ at home. It worked out really well and the kids had a blast. The only thing missing this year was on the ground fireworks. Because of the treat of fires in the state most places stopped selling fireworks all together so it was hard to find any fireworks for sale. It was kind of sad but at the same time no one wanted to risk starting a small fire because of fireworks. Anyhow, all and all it was a great day!

Summertime!

The last few months have been so crazy to say the least so, what better way than to break loose with a good old fashion slip n' slide! The kids love it (with the exeception of Rayna) and it wears them out for a good nights sleep.

Good times! I love summertime and we are looking forward to many more fun filled days.

Little Ladybug Birthday Party!

This is the first party that I have starting planning months in advance. I was determined to make it as non hectic as possible in hopes to be able to sit and enjoy the party just like everyone else. Is that even possible when it comes to a party? I think not, but I did enjoy myself this time and I think the party turned out fantastic. So without further adieu, some of the pictures I took that day.

<--- Little lady herself in her ladybug dress with matching ladybug bow! I just lover her.

Wardrobe change #3, pushing her new double stroller, and wearing her new hat.

She was absolutely hilarious and really enjoyed her birthday this year. After every gift she opened she HAD to try on what was inside. She loves, loves clothes... so she was so excited when she got many new things to wear. All and all it was a great day. The weather was perfect, a big thanks to those who helped and to those who came. We can't wait to do it again!

Rayna Sue is 2!

And she WILL let it be known that she is now 2! Already displaying the "2" characteristics, I think I am going to have my hand full with this one.

All kidding aside, I really do love the little girl she has become. She loves clothes, shoes, and hair bows. Always attempting to dress herself in whatever and however she can get her hands on things. She never forgets to accessorize--making sure she never leaves the house without her bow, purse, or bracelet. She seriously cracks me up! Most of the time she is a pure joy to be around and I love the little girl she has become.

You amaze me everyday! Happy Birthday, Rayna!

Vegas Baby!

Last weekend Ray and I spent 5 days in Vegas, with NO kids! It was bliss. We vowed to have a different trip to Vegas than last time. Last time, it was a short stay, with an agenda, no car, and little money. This trip was much different and fun indeed!

After an 8 hour drive on Thursday, we checked into our hotel and set out on the strip. After a short stop at Caesars Palace, we landed ourselves at Margaritaville to tackle their BIG margarita. Not too long after that a live band joined in, the night was great!

Friday was followed by more sight seeing and walking the strip. I also managed to get some retail therapy in as well. What girl doesn't love that?

Saturday was my little sisters BIG day! This was the day she would marry her high school sweetheart. She looked absolutely beautiful. We had so much fun at her wedding. The food was great, the venue was beautiful, and we stayed entertained. An all inclusive wedding is definitely the way to go.

Sunday we took a drive to see the pawn shop from the TV show (on the history channel) Pawn Stars. We got a chance to see many things featured on the TV show. Also, many collectors items, things that we probably would not have seen otherwise. It was cool! Later that night, we had dinner with my sister and her new husband. Followed by more Vegas strip drinking and gambling.

Up until the last night we were up by $200 but, I got greedy and lost it all on the last night. Oh well! We had a fantastic time on our vacation, did a lot of things that who knows when we will get to them again. I wouldn't change anything about it. Lots of drinking, walking, and laughing. I can't wait to do it again. Who knows when that will be!? For now, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

House. A forever work in progress...

One thing is for certain around here... we always have some sort of house project going on. We bought this house as a fixer (got a really good deal on it) but, we never intended to fix it this much! Next month is will be one year since we closed on our house. Take a look for yourself and see the results.

Everything has new paint, new carpet, and new tile throughout. The kitchen was totally gutted and put back together. Also, one of our latest projects has been the back yard this Spring. Hopefully, soon I will have before and afters on that. Then, next... Rayna's room. =)
